Vijayawada: The Amaravati Parirakshana Samiti is organising a massive rally from Gunadala centre in the city in support of the agitation for the continuation of the capital city at Amaravati on Saturday.
Speaking to the media here on Friday, the convener of the joint action committee R V Swamy said that the agitation has been going on for the last 80 days with the slogan 'No to three capitals and Yes to one capital at Amaravati'.
Swamy said that the massive rally which would commence at Gunadala Centre would pass through Christurajupuram and culminating in a meeting at Amma Kalyanamandapam. He said that about 3,000 JAC activists, Amaravati supporters, JAC women leaders would take part in the rally.
Likewise, women JAC would organise human chain at the Alankar Centre in the city in connection with the celebrations of Women's Day. Later, the women's rally would pass through Sambamurthy Road and culminate in a meeting at Alluri Sitarama Raju bridge. He appealed to all the supporters Amaravati to participate in the rally and make it a grand success.
