Amaravati: The Machilipatnam police arrested former Minister and TDP senior leader Kollu Ravindra in a murder case on Friday. The police informed that the charges framed on Ravindra under sections 302, 109 read with 34 of IPC.

According to the sources in the police department, Ravindra was arrested at Sitarampuram on National Highway, in East Godavari while he was going towards Visakhapatnam.

The accused persons including Chinta Nagamalli and Chinta Vamsi Krishna were also arrested in the same murder case of Machilipatnam local YSRCP leader Moka Bhaskara Rao.

Meanwhile, the TDP president N Chandrababu Naidu condemned the arrest and stated that the YSRCP government was harassing the opposition leaders by putting false cases.

He stated that Ravindra was being victimised as part of political rivalry of the chief minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy and other leaders in that ruling party.
