The farmer protest against the proposal of three capitals continues in Amaravati. Farmers from capital regions are agitating at Mandadam, Tulluru and Velgapudi on Friday. In many villages, the farmer offered prayers at temples seeking the goddess to change the minds of rules to withdraw the three capital proposals.

TDP leader and former MP Maganti Babu expressed solidarity with farmers in Velagapudi. He sat down and supported the Deeksha camp. Speaking on occasion, he called on farmers to prepare for the Delhi-level agitation to retain the capital in Amravati. As a farmer's son, I know the concerns of the farmers," Maganti said. He expressed his outrage over the government for shifting the secretariat to Visakhapatnam for administration.

He opined that one state one capital is their stand and the state will prosper with Amaravati as capital. On the other hand, the relay hunger strikes are going on twenty-nine villages of Amaravati to protest to retain the Amaravati as capital.
