Amaravati: TDP releases charge sheet on YSRCP government
Amaravati: TDP came down heavily on the YSRCP government for allegedly indulging in rampant corruption and carrying out atrocities on the opposition party leaders and cadres during its first year of governance.
The opposition party released a charge sheet against the one year rule of YSRCP on Monday titled 'One Chance for Destruction'.
Party general secretary Nara Lokesh, former minister Kollu Ravindra and others participated in the programme held at the party headquarters in Mangalagiri.
Lokesh said the ruling party leaders have no moral right to talk about welfare of AP people since not even one of its Navaratnalu cash transfer promises was implemented 100 per cent in the past one year.
Just like the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) prepared a charge-sheet listing Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy's scams worth Rs 1 lakh crore during his father's rule, the TDP now issued the charge-sheet.
He criticised that Jagan had indulged in even larger corruption in his capacity as Chief Minister. The so called Navaratnalu were turned into a bundle of scams and lies, he alleged.
The TDP termed the house sites distribution scheme as one of the biggest scams in the country with every ruling party leader having a pie in it.
"Constitutional and human rights violations were rampant in the last one year. Farmers and construction workers committed suicides and liquor mafia is literally ruling the state," Lokesh said.
He said the state government was purchasing electricity spending Rs 11 per unit which was another scam.
