Amaravati: YSRCP leaders flouting Constitutional rules: Yanamala Ramakrishnudu
Amaravati: Opposition Leader in the Legislative Council Yanamala Ramakrishnudu alleged that the YSRCP government was resorting to political vendetta against the TDP leaders. He was addressing a press conference at the party State office in Mangalagiri on Monday.
He said that those who had worked to protect the interests of former Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy were now visiting courts in connection with different cases filed against them. Yanamala warned that if the officials now misuse their power to protect interests of Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy, they would face problems in future.
Ramakrishnudu said that even on the issue of formation of two Select Committees based on the direction of the Legislative Council Chairman Shariff Mohammed Ahmed, the YSRCP government has been bringing pressure on the Assembly Secretary to delay the procedure. He said the State government has been acting in an unethical and unconstitutional manner. The government does not have the right to control the Secretary, who functions under the Council Chairman, he said.
He pointed out that the other political parties also expressed concern over the delay in formation of the Select Committees. Yanamala flayed the YSRCP leaders for misusing all the institutions.
The YSRCP leaders violated many rules in the Council and Assembly, he said.
Yanamala said that the procedure for formation of the Select Committees began when the Chairman made the announcement. This will continue even after prorogue of the House. The YSRCP leaders are not aware of the facts and making baseless comments on the rules and procedures, he criticised.
