Ambedkar's birth anniversary celebrated
Vijayawada: YSRCP leader and BC JAC state president Buddha Nageswar Rao along with other leaders paid floral tributes to Dr BR Ambedkar on his 128th birth anniversary at Tummalapalli Kalakshetram here on Sunday.
Speaking on the occasion, Nageswar Rao hailed Ambedkar as one of the international intellectuals of all time. Ambedkar strived for the uplift of the poor and the downtrodden and struggled to impart education to the masses for the development of their future.
Ambedkar fought against caste discrimination and untouchability, felt that democracy would bring equality to rebuild nation. Education was important to take society towards society free from caste differences with human values. BC JAC general secretary B Shekar Babu, Sai Babu, Ravi Kumar and others were present.
