Anantapur: Collector Gandham Chandrudu apprises CS K S Jawahar Reddy on Covid tests conducted, present status

Anantapur: District Collector Gandham Chandrudu apprised Health and Medical Special Chief Secretary K S Jawahar Reddy that in all 30,542 blood samples had been clinically tested by dividing them into several age categories.

The District Collector made a power point presentation online stating that 1,378 children from 0-14 years had been tested for corona virus, 16,750 persons tested in the age group of 15-49 years, 4,041 persons in the ages of 50-59 and 8,373 tests were conducted for those above 60 years.

The clinical examinations were conducted on blood samples in the RT-PCR and VRDL laboratories in the containment, non-containment and buffer zones.

Chandrudu also explained the testing strategies and the surveillance operations to be taken up in the next fortnight and also about the ILI testing progress.

He also apprised Jawahar Reddy on the containment zones and on the de-notified red zones and on the already sent migrant labourers to their respective states and also on the return of migrant laborers from other states to the district.

He also made a presentation on the quarantine centres, excellent hospitality arrangements and on relief centres for migrants. He also elaborated on the functioning of 6 Covid hospitals and on 16 ICU beds and 723 non-ICU beds and 39 isolation beds availability.

DMHO Anil Kumar and GGH superintendent Ramaswamy Naik, Medical College principal Neeraja and ADMHO Ramesh Nath were among those present.
