Anantapur: Collector Gandham Chandrudu moots effective measures to curb Covid-19
Anantapur: District Collector Gandham Chandrudu, at a Covid 19 management meeting, mooted a 10-point formula to prevent the spread of the dreaded virus. He said primarily corona suspect cases should first be identified and those with symptoms of the virus particularly those above the age of 60 should be clinically examined.
The medical officers should be familiar with the cases they are dealing with and also monitor the work of field staff inspectors and also coordinate with village secretaries and primary health centres. An awareness should be created on the testing centres and how to send online requests for corona tests. The medical officers should be familiar with the facilities in the government and private hospitals for covid treatment.
The medical officers should keep a tab on the entry of outsiders through Spandana portal. New migrants from outside should be sent to quarantine centres. These quarantined should be under the observation of Asha workers and village volunteers. Strict monitoring of containment zones should be implemented.
Police should keep a tab on people on maintaining social distance in malls and public places and on wearing of masks.
Sanitary workers should maintain sanitation in rainy season as people will be vulnerable for dengue and malaria outbreak etc. All measures should be taken to prevent spread of virus at airports, bus stations and railway stations.
