Anantapur: Collector gets CM pat for house sites work
Anantapur: Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy, in his video conference with District Collectors, lauded Collector Gandham Chandrudu for doing a good job by making elaborate preparations for disbursal of house sites for the Ugadi festival and for effective functioning of village secretariats and village volunteers.
Addressing Collectors, the Chief Minister reviewed the functioning of village secretariats, redressal of people's grievances during Spandana programme and also arrangements for distributing house sites to beneficiaries. He asked the Collectors to display the lists of beneficiaries for house sites at the village secretariats in 3 days. He asked collectors to stick to time schedules fixed by the government for distribution of house sites.
Layouts should be prepared well in advance and allotment of house sites should not be delayed for physical preparation of layouts. Beneficiaries should be finalised adopting lottery system, he said. With hardly a month left for issuing house sites land acquisition should be completed in districts in the next few days. The list of beneficiaries pertaining to any welfare scheme should be pasted at the village secretariats in a transparent manner, the Chief Minister added.
Jagan Mohan Reddy directed the SPs to make preparations for operation of Disha Police Stations from March 1. Eighteen Disha Police Stations will come into operation from March 1, he added.
SP Sathya Yesu Babu said all is set for opening Disha Police station in a couple of days. He said that 50 percent of cops will be women in the police stations.
