Andhra government approves of free passes for Kidney patients in the state
Despite Coronavirus pandemic is taking the toll on the state, the Andhra Pradesh government headed by chief minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy is taking number of revolutionary decisions. He has already introduced many welfare schemes to the public recently. The sector is preparing to issue bus passes for free of charge for kidney patients to travel on RTC buses.
As the travel charges are becoming increasingly expensive for kidney patients who often go for dialysis, the Jagan Mohan Reddy government has decided to issue passes, which covers 10 lakh kidney patients across the state. The government plans to give free passes to those who are partially blind too.
Meanwhile, the state has reported 222 new cases of coronavirus. Of these 222 cases, 186 were from the state and 36 persons from abroad and neighboring states. The total number of corona cases in the state so far has reached 4588 with active cases stands at 1865 and recovered at 2641. As many as 82 people have died of the virus.
