Andhra govt to hold online classes for 1 to 10-grade students amid Coronavirus outbreak

Andhra Pradesh: In the wake of the COVID-19 outbreak, the government of Andhra Pradesh has decided to teach lessons to classes 1 to 10 through Doordarshan Saptagiri channel from tomorrow onwards. The bridge course lessons would be taught grades 1-5 students and subject lessons to grades 6-9. It is believed that teachers would come to schools once a week to clarify their children's doubts where the students could seek help from teachers.

Meanwhile, Bridge coursebooks designed specifically for 1st to 5th-grade students will be presented to students from today. The subjects English, Maths and Telugu subjects are taught in the English medium. According to schedule, classes for 1 and 2 will be held from 11 am to 11.30 am, while for 3, 4 and 5 will be held from 11.30 am to 12 pm and classes for 6 and 7 grades will be telecasted from 2 pm to 3 pm, for 8 and 9 from 3 pm to 4 pm. The classes will be held until the end of June. On the other hand, the two-hour program, which is currently underway for Tenth students would be continued.

As per the education department, teachers who teach lessons for grades 1-5 should attend the school every Tuesday from the 16th of this month to clarify the doubts, while teachers who teach to grades 6-7 should go to schools every Wednesday from 17th followed by teachers who teach lessons in grades 8-9 should attend school every Friday from June 19. And tenth-grade teachers are required to go to schools every Wednesday and Friday.
