Andhra govt writes to Telangana, Karnataka, Odisha govts to permit AP buses

The government of Andhra Pradesh led by chief minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy is expected to operate interstate bus services from June 8. Andhra Pradesh Chief Secretary Nilam Sawhney wrote a letter to the governments of Telangana, Karnataka and Odisha to this extent. On behalf of the Andhra Pradesh government, the three state governments have been asked to grant permission for buses coming from Andhra Pradesh. However, with a number of cases in Tamil Nadu are so high that it is not allowing the buses from other states, the chief secretary didn't write a letter to the Tamil Nadu govt.

However, due to the large number of people moving in private vehicles and trains, it is difficult to gather all the details of the travellers; hence AP district collectors expressed helplessness. With unprecedented situations, the govt ordered the transport department to allow the buses immediately.

Though the Telangana government is allowing interstate passengers, no decision has been made on buses. Andhra Pradesh wants Telangana to declare an explicit policy in this regard. It is expected that the decision will be made in two days and the buses will resume from Monday. Let us see how the other states respond to the AP government's request.
