Andhra Pradesh: 4,000 PET posts to be filled in DSC 2020

Guntur: The state government will fill 4,000 Physical Education Teacher (PET) posts in the DSC-2020 to be held very soon. Deputy secretary to the government, Hussainaiah Oruganti, issued orders to this effect. He instructed the commissioner of school education to take necessary steps to fill the posts as per rules in force.

The government's move follows representations from various teachers' unions. The PETs to be selected through the DSC-2020 will be posted in the primary and upper primary schools in the state.

According to officials sources, for the first time the government created PET posts in the primary and upper primary schools to impart physical education to students. The students of primary and upper primary schools will have sufficient time to attend physical education classes than the students of high schools.

Municipal Teachers Federation state president S Rama Krishna in a statement hailed the decision of the government to fill the PETs posts.
