Andhra Pradesh assembly sessions to begin in a short while 10 am, budget to be introduced

Andhra Pradesh Budget session to begin in couple of hours, with the address of Governor Biswabhushan Harichandan at 10 am today, from Raj Bhavan through video conference. On the other hand, the MLAs and MLCs to participate in the programme from their respective Houses, including Assembly and Council. Though it is a joint session, the Assembly Speaker and Council Chairman took the decision to conduct the session like this to maintain social distance, in view of the COVID19 pandemic.

However, prior to the sessions, the cabinet would meet to give a nod for the budget. Later after the governor's address to the house, the BAC meeting is schedule to discuss the agenda of the meetings followed by hanks Giving motion to Governor's Address in both the Houses. The state budget and the agriculture budget would be introduced bby finance minister Rajendranath Reddy and Agriculture minister Kanna Babu in assembly while in council, PillinbSubhash Chandrabose and Mopidevi Venkataramana would introduce the budget bills.

On the other hand, TDP likely to boycott the Assembly proceedings, as part of the protest against arrests and atrocities on at least 60 TDP leaders in the past one year. Meanwhile, TDP chief N Chandrababu Naidu directed his party leaders to take the stock on one year failure of chief minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy government, atrocities on various sections of people including medical fraternity, government employees, common public, in the Assembly budget session. During the discussions on the TDP will expose the government's failures

TDP president N Chandrababu Naidu and other public representatives will Garland NTR statue at Venkatapalem in Amaravati before coming to Assembly budget session. All the leaders together attend the village at 9 am.
