In a statement here, the TDP leader said that hate crimes and murders were increasing by day against the Muslims all over the state in the past 18 months of the Jagan regime. These atrocities raising doubts whether the Muslims had no right to life at all under the present dispensation in the state. The TDP leader demanded the YSRCP government to explain to the minorities as to why it was failing to take deterrent action against those responsible for the atrocities against the Muslims. The Chief Minister made countless promises to the weaker sections and the Minorities to look after their welfare. But after coming to power, the Chief Minister was running an oppressive rule oblivious of its responsibilities towards the BCs, SCs, STs and Muslim minorities.

Stating that the YSRCP leaders everywhere were becoming lawless and oppressive, Atchannaidu alleged that no action was taken in the Abdul Salam family suicide tragedy. Several such atrocities were committed against Muslims but the ruling party sought to protect the accused. As a responsible opposition party, the TDP was extending all its support and agitating on behalf of the oppressed sections, he added.

Atchannaidu accused the government of filing false cases and making false arrests of the TDP leaders who were just going to the rescue of the hapless victims of the YSRCP attacks.
