Andhra Pradesh cabinet approves key decisions on sand shortage and other issues

The Andhra Pradesh Cabinet has approved the sand polices. The decision to impose a two-year jail term for sand trafficking has been taken in the cabinet. The AP Cabinet, chaired by Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy on Wednesday, has taken key decisions on several issues. As part of this, the Cabinet has approved the introduction of English medium in government-run schools. It has been decided to implement the English medium in all schools of Government and Zilla Parishad from 1st to 6th grade. Similarly, there has been a debate in the cabinet on the fall in maize prices.

The price of maize per quintal was Rs 2200 a week ago. The minimum support price of Rs. 1500 CM Jagan has ordered the farmers to take immediate action to prevent the loss. Officials were ordered to open the purchasing centres immediately. It has been decided by the marketing department to make purchases without loss of the farmers.

The Cabinet has approved the CM Jagan's decisions. Officials inaugurated preparations for the opening of buying centres in Vijayanagaram and Kurnool districts from Wednesday afternoon.
