Andhra Pradesh Government committed to complete all projects

Kurnool: Minister for Water Resources, Dr P Anil Kumar Yadav has asserted that the government is committed to complete all pending irrigation projects in the state. Chief Minister, YS Jagan Mohan Reddy is determined to provide water for irrigation to every acre besides meeting drinking water needs. He along with Education Minister Adimulapu Suresh addressed media persons in Srisailam on Monday.

They visited Srisailam temple and inspected the ongoing works at Srisailam Dam. He enquired about the maintaining water levels in the dam with the dam In-charge, Chandrasekhar. He along with Adimulapu Suresh and engineers of Irrigation department went in a boat to Velugonda Tunnel project. They inspected the head regulatory functioning.

Anil Kumar Yadav said the Velugonda project was started by former Chief Minister YS Rajasekhar Reddy to address water problems of the farmers of three districts. And now Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy is concentrating to complete all incomplete irrigation projects. During the rule of YS Rajasekhar Reddy, the farmers in the state were very happy and now Jagan Mohan Reddy wants to ensure smile on the faces of every farmer. Rythu Bharosa Kendrams have been started for the welfare of farmers. Quality seeds, fertilisers and farm equipment will be given to farmers through Rythu Bharosa Kendrams, he said. The farmers would be given water to both kharif and rabi crops, added Anil Kumar Yadav.
