The Andhra Pradesh government's ambitious house site pattas distribution program for the poor will begin on December 25. The program is about to begin everywhere except in areas where there is a court stay. Eligible candidates will be given a D-Form patta on December 25 and will be allotted a house. The government has already identified 30,68,281 beneficiaries across the state and hand over pattas to them and the construction of houses will begin on the same day.

In the first phase, about 15 lakh houses will be constructed. In fact, the government has made all the arrangements to issue the title deeds of the houses on July 8. It was postponed several times as some people moved courts. The government has also created colonies to issue house deeds.

The lands to be given by the YS Jaganmohan Reddy government will not be like the housing complex of the weaker sections in the past instead it will be allocated spaces for wide roads, parks, schools, hospitals, and other social needs. However, it is noted that the house site pattas will be handed over to all those who are eligible and homeless.
