Andhra Pradesh Govt Issues Guidelines On 75 Percent of Jobs For Locals

The government on Monday issued regulations to provide 75 per cent of jobs to locals in factories and companies in the state. Factories and industries must follow these regulations. Vacancies in Joint Ventures need to be filled, including sectors, factories in the state and those operated under the Public-Private Partnership (PPP). The companies need to hire technical, highly-skilled, skilled and unskilled people, and the appointments must be made in three quarters from January.

At the State level, Labor Employment Training secretary will be the convenor. Anyone living in AP for ten years can benefit under this law. The beneficiaries need to possess Ration Card, Water Bill, Electricity Bill, Voter ID Card, Gas Connection Card, Aadhaar Card, Bank Pass Book, Any Government Identity. Otherwise, the certificate issued by the local tahsildar for proof of residence is to be shown.

If companies found any unskilled people, they should inform the nodal agency. The nodal agency will train the candidates and improve their skills. If the owners of companies and companies refuse to provide the government with the necessary information, strict action will be taken under Section 5 od labour act. Failure to comply with the rules will result in a fine of Rs. 25000.
