Andhra Pradesh govt likely to launch pre-schools in the state
The Andhra Pradesh government led by chief minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has reportedly contemplating to take yet another crucial decision of setting up of pre-schools in primary schools from next year. The government has made proposals for setting up of 3,400 schools under Samagra Shiksha Abhiyan scheme. They have begun to prepare syllabus (lessons) required for pre-schools. Four and a half-year-old children are entitled to be admitted to these pre-schools.
These pre-schools aims to teach reading and writing to the children for a year and also inculcates special talent and math lessons among the kids. The teachers in these pre-schools would be hired on a contract basis. With this approach, the increase in admissions in public schools, the students are expected to excel in education. These schools are expected to be very useful for students.
The government has said that the priority should be given to the children of the tribal and backward area.
