Andhra Pradesh govt succeeds in Reverse Tendering in Grama Sachivalayam Department

AP government once again succeeded in reverse tendering. Reverse tendering has also invited the purchase of various equipment by Jagan govt, which has so far been implemented in irrigation projects. This saved the public money by Rs 66 crore.

The reverse tendering brought about by the AP government, once again aimed at saving public money. The govt has saved huge funds of 51 crores 15 lakhs on the purchase of desktop computers and UPS for the village and ward secretariat, While the acquisition of printers has collected Rs 14 crore 32 lakhs making it a total sum of Rs 65 crore 47 lakhs.

The AP government has launched the most ambitious village secretariats intending to provide immediate services to the public. For this, the government has invited tenders for 29 thousand 888 computers and 14 thousand 944 UPS.

The company, which has been quoted as the L-1 for the lowest price, has quoted Rs 191 crores ten lakhs 38 thousand 720 rupees. The government has done the reverse tendering and got another tender by quoting another company 139 crores 95 lakhs 38 thousand 720 rupees. With the reverse bidding of Rs. 51.15 crores of public money have been saved.

The company, which was quoted at Rs 38 crore 92 lakh 76 thousand 256, first became L-1 when the government called for tenders for 14 thousand 944 multi-function printers with specifications. Another company has quoted over Rs 24 crore 60 lakh 26 thousand 256 on reverse tendering. This is 36.8% less than the L-1 tender value. This saved the public money of 14 crores, 32 lakh and 50 thousand rupees.

Jagan govt, which first implemented the reverse tendering policy in Polavaram, saved Rs 839 crore. Subsequently, the Veligonda Tunnel-2 works also saved a net worth of Rs 62 crore. Jagan govt has decided to implement reverse tendering in more branches as the benefits are exceeding the expected level. It has received praise and support from political and public groups.
