Andhra Pradesh: Missile found at Peddapalem coast, marine officials says it belongs to Air Force
The fiber rockets appeared at the coastal area in Andhra Pradesh is creating a stir in the state. Coastal residents are worried as two rockets hit in two consecutive days. Going into details, a fiber rocket crashed into the sea near Pallepalem Guest House in Ramayapatnam of Prakasam district. The BANSHEE axes, numbered 7143, are inscribed on the rocket with rocket body is in red colour and the wings are yellow coloured. Locals who noticed this informed the authorities while it was revealed by Tahasildar that they will be launched from the Balasore Integrated Testing Range in Odisha. It is learned that a fiber rocket hit the sea shore on Saturday at Ootukoor Peddapalam in the Vidavalur zone of Nellore district.
However, the marine officials confirmed that the wreckage was not a jet wreck, but an Air Force missile found at the coast of Nellore district. It is said to be used to find out how high the wind is at sea. While 3 of these have been launched, 2 have been found so far and another has recently been found in the coastal area of Vidavalur mandal. It was taken to the Iskapalli Marine Police Station and the Marine officers were informed that they would take it away soon.
On the other hand, fishermen spot a fiberglass rocket on the shore in Palaverkadu, Tamil Nadu. The Department of Defence and the Department of Meteorology often launch similar fiber rockets. Local police were also alerted as soon as they heard the information of the rockets. They finally breathed a sigh of relief after being given clearance by Marine officers.
