The suicide case of Abdul Salam, which created a sensation in Telugu states, will come up for hearing in the court today. The last words spoken by the Salam family when they were dying brought tears to the eyes of the Telugu people. Everyone is seeking justice for Abul Salam's family. It remains to be seen how the court in this context. Already the police are on alert and security is being beefed up to prevent any untoward incidents.

The Nandyal court is set to hear the sensational Abdul Salam family suicide case today. The court will hear the bail petition of CI Soma Sekhar Reddy and Constable Gangadhar, who are facing charges of harassing the victims thereby making them to commit suicide. However, there is tense atmosphere of qas to what the court will decide.

The government has announced Rs 25 lakh compensation to the victim's family. Salam's wife's mother refused to take the ex-gratia and said that they do not need the money and that justice should be done to them. However, with District Collector, MLA Shilpa Ravichandra Kishore Reddy's assurance, Salam's mother in law accepted the compensation and said that she will return money if justice is not prevailed. Salam's family and relatives warn that they will be particularly concerned if bail is granted to the police. The police were alerted and security measures were taken to prevent any untoward incidents.

It is learnt that the Abul Salam's family committed suicide after being allegedly harassed by the police in a theft case. The family left a video message before they could take final plunge by falling under train.
