Polytechnic and ITI colleges to begin from November 23 in Andhra Pradesh

The educational sector is the one that has been worst hit due to the coronavirus where all the institutions have been closed for almost seven months. However, governments are now making arrangements to reopen educational institutions as the situation is under control. In this backdrop, the polytechnic and ITI colleges in the state are scheduled to be reopened from November 23 in this regard.

The orders were issued on November 16 by the Special Principal Secretary, Skill Development and Training, Anantha Ramu. While Sankranti holidays are scheduled from January 13th to 15th. Also, a key decision was made in terms of working days. Classes are held for a total of 180 days at a rate of 90 per semester including additional classes will also be held on the second Saturday.

On the other hand, classes for ITI courses will also start from November 23 itself. However, the classes begin earlier for second year students while for first-year students, classes would begin from December 14.

It is known that the government of Andhra Pradesh has started all the operations in regard to education sector. Earlier, the government has started schools in the state on November 2 for 9 and 10 th classes and classes for remaining grades would beging in phased manner.
