Andhra Pradesh: Somu Veerraju responds on Nandyal family suicide, says it is not right to arrest police
Andhra Pradesh BJP president Somu Veerraju has made sensational remarks on the suicide of Salam's family in Nandyal which caused a stir in Andhra Pradesh. He said it was not right to arrest the police in this incident. "What is the point of arresting the police on duty? Will the CM be arrested if the farmers commit suicide?" Somu questioned. He alleged Chandrababu of politicising the Nandyal incident and asserted that YSRCP, TDP are aiming for muslims votes. He was incensed over religious politics. "It is not right to do vote bank politics in the name of Muslims," Somu Veerraju opined.
On the other hand, Andhra Pradesh BJP president said that the red sandalwood smuggling is rampant in the state and demanded to stop the smuggling immediately. He said that there was no funding for the foreign education scheme and that false propaganda was being spread about the construction of Polavaram. He questioned why the TDP and YSRCP did not talk about the flood zones. Somu Veerraju's remarks came at a time when the Nandyal family suicide case was causing a stir in the state.
The Nandyal court is set to hear the sensational Abdul Salam family suicide case today. The court will hear the bail petition of CI Soma Sekhar Reddy and Constable Gangadhar, who are facing charges of harassing the victims thereby making them to commit suicide. However, there is tense atmosphere at to what the court will decide.
