Andhra Pradesh: SSC exams likely in May 2021, classes to be continued till April 30

AP SSC Exams 2021: The director of State Council for Educational Research and Training B Pratap Reddy said that the classes in schools across the state will continue till April 30 and there will be an opportunity to conduct public examinations in May. He said that the number of papers in the SSC exams has not been decided yet and the government and higher authorities will have to decide on this. It has been clarified that the propaganda in the media on this is not true. An online meeting was held on Tuesday with principals, school assistants and others in the state.

On the other hand, it has been decided that students of grades 9 and 10 will have Formative‌ – 1 exams on January 6, 7 and 8, and Grades 7 and 8 will have Formative‌ – 1 exams on January 21, 22 and 23. He said classes would be held in all schools till April 30 and teachers would not have to rush to complete the syllabus. There are no optional subjects in the Essay Exams and all the subjects have to be taught thoroughly as the syllabus has been reduced. Classes should be taught following guidelines and action will be taken against those who doesn't follow the stipulated guidelines. He said SCERT is conducting a career guidance program in advance so that students can choose the fields they aspire to on what to do next.

Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has said that raising the standards in education and providing high quality education to the poor is a top priority and a budget of billions has been earmarked for this. Teachers are therefore urged to work hard so that justice is done to every poor student. He clarified that the government was offering more schemes to students in the state than anywhere else in the country and that teachers should carry out their duties in a planned manner with the aim of getting every student to get better grades.
