Two electrocuted to death in Nuzivid of Krishna district 

In a ghastly road accident, two people who were riding on a two wheeler were killed while trying to escape from a container that caught fire due to electric shock. The incident took place on Saturday at Polasanapalli village in Nuzivid mandal of Krishna district. Going into details, 11 kV power lines were hit when a container going from Gollapalli to Agiripalli mandal Vattigudipadu near Polasanapalli The lorry driver and the cleaner immediately jumped down and escaped.

Meanwhile, Penumaka Jojibabu, 36, of Appanaveedu in West Godavari district, who runs a small fancy shop in Mirzapuram in Nuzivid mandal, and Sheikh Mastan, 65, of Mirzapuram village, were on their way to Vattigudipadu for eggs on a two-wheeler. When they came to Polasanapalli, there was a container across the road so they went a little further and touched the container and electrocuted, which led to fire broke out at the petrol tank of the two-wheeler and both of them were burnt alive on the spot.

Jojibabu survived with a wife and two daughters. Tehsildar Mendu Suresh Kumar reached the spot and learned about the accident. Rural SI Ranjith has registered the case and investigated. Local MLA Meka Venkata Pratap Appa Rao visited the family members of those who died of electrocution.
