Andhra Pradesh: Woman commits suicide amid parents pressure for marriage in Anantapur

A young woman committed suicide by hanging herself on Monday in Kurnool. According to the police, Vaishnavi (26), daughter of Koppurapu Srinivas and Bharathi couple from Kolimigundla of Kurnool is working as a digital assistant in Chandana Lakshya Palle Grama Secretariat in Yadiki Mandal of Anantapur District.

She has been on leave for a month from the 1st of this month due to ill health. The parents told the daughter that they were coming in two or three days to see a wedding match.

Vaishnavi, who is not interested in looking for matches hanged herself to death while no one was at home on Monday. The Sub Inspector Harinath Reddy said the case was registered as per the complaint of the family members.
