Andhra T20 league matches in June

Vijayawada: Noted commentator and compere Charu Sharma announced the inauguration of Andhra T20 here on Friday along with honorary secretary of Andhra Cricket Association (ACA) C Arun Kumar and noted sports physician Dr Kinjal Suratwala. It is likely to be launched in the month of June, he added.

Charu Sharma said that Andhra youth has potential to make a big wave in cricket world and it is high time Andhra youth showed their power in T20 cricket format. "Andhra Cricket Association took a right decision though belated to launch T20," he added.

With the help of power point presentation he showcased the proposed format of Andhra T20 with six franchise locations—Visakhapatnam, Vijayawada, Godavari, Chittoor, Kadapa and Anantapuram out of 13 districts in the State. Charu Sharma said that the youth power of Andhra would come out in this format and they make millions if not more.

C Arun Kumar said that the ACA will launch the inaugural Andhra Cricket League most likely in June this year to give nearly 100 crickets from the State the opportunity to experience high pressure matches.

He said that the ACA has already issued a tender for the Franchisees Ownership Bids which are available on its websitewww.andhracricketassociation.com. He said that bids are welcome from individuals, firms corporate and consortiums. An NRI Sai Venkata Ganesh evinced interest in the franchise who is the first to come forward.
