Andhra University to collaborate with University of Louisville for research

Visakhapatnam: President of University of Louisville, USA Neeli Bendapudi on Saturday said that the US-based university would like to figure out the feasibility of collaborating with Andhra University in the areas of academics and research.

She visited AU, her Alma mater, and held discussions with its Vice-Chancellor G Nageswara Rao, Rector M Prasada Rao and Registrar K Niranjan. She explained the new initiatives taken by the University of Louisville which had recently launched a new digital skills academy, the first of its kind facility of IBM. She said a centre for digital transformation was also established on the campus.

The V-C said AU was adjudged as the Centre of Eminence by Union government and that the varsity would get funds to a tune of Rs 100 crore under Rashtriya Uchchatar Shiksha Abhiyan (RUSA). Later, Nageswara Rao felicitated Neeli Bendapudi in the presence of department heads and staff.
