Andhra University Vice-Chancellor P V G D Prasad Reddy DST INSPIRE faculty fellowship holders to join the varsity

Visakhapatnam: Andhra University Vice-Chancellor P V G D Prasad Reddy invited Department of Science and Technology (DST) INSPIRE (Innovation in Science Pursuit for Inspired Research (INSPIRE) faculty to consider AU to carry out their innovative research.

At the inaugural of the three-day DST INSPIRE faculty review meeting commenced here on Monday, the V-C assured the faculty members to recommend them to get absorbed in the university after the completion of their fellowship.

Dean of International Affairs, AU E N Dhanamjaya Rao is coordinating the review meeting that concluded on October 23. Subjects such as Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Engineering and Life Sciences will be reviewed by eminent scientists of Indian National Science Academy (INSA) during the programme.

Secretary of DST Ashutosh Sharma insisted on sustainable and innovative research by the Inspire Faculty Fellowship holders during his inaugural address through video conference.

More than 240 INSPIRE Faculty Fellowship holders are being reviewed by 70 eminent scientists of INSA from different parts of the country, participating as experts for review committees in different disciplines.
