Animisha fisheries gadget launched in Eluru

Eluru: 'Animisha', an electronic fisheries gadget that helps the aerator to work automatically when dissolved oxygen level drops to dangerous level in fish pond to keep the fishes alive, was launched here on Saturday.

The gadget was invented by ECE department students and faculty of Sir CR Reddy College of Engineering here. Participating as chief guest at the launch of the gadget, Anna University assistant professor Dr Sarma said that the gadget would be useful to aqua culture farmers to be alert and prevent the death of fish due to sudden changes in atmosphere.

CRR educational institutions vice-president K Rajendra Varaprasadarao said that there was every need for such gadget in this region known for aqua culture. The college principal Dr G Sambashiva Rao and others also spoke.
