Anna canteens to be closed on 30 March
Visakhapatnam: The Akshaya Patra Foundation has declared that the food will not be served in the Anna Canteens across the state on Saturday night.
As 30 March is the last working day for the financial year, and the bank transactions on that day have to be settled. For which, the Foundation has decided to close the canteens on Saturday night.
Back from Monday, the Anna canteens will operate normally, from breakfast to dinner.
As part of 2014 elections promise, The TDP government has launched the Anna canteens in partnering with Akshaya Patra Foundation.
Unlike in other areas, the government has built Anna canteens with a corporate touch. The designs, interiors and the ambiance of the food court are truly international standards. The canteens are equipped with the electronic token system, computer with internet fecality, CC cameras, etc.
The Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu has inaugurated the Anna canteens, where the food is served for Rs 5 only.
Breakfast is available from 7:30 am to 10:00 am, lunch timings are from 12:30 pm to 3:00 pm, and dinner will be served from 7:30 pm to 9:00 pm. Every Sunday is a holiday for Anna Canteens.
