AP assembly budget sessions: TDP members suspended from the house for one day
Andhra Pradesh assembly speaker Tammineni Sitaram suspended the TDP MLAs from the house for one day after the members after creating ruckus.
As soon as the assembly session started, the opposition Telugu Desam Party (TDP) put forward adjournment resolutions regarding the delay in irrigation projects and the resulting losses faced by farmers. The TDP demanded a discussion on the issue, highlighting the alleged negligence of the government in completing irrigation projects on time and the negative impact on farmers' livelihoods.
However, Speaker Tammineni dismissed the adjournment motions and proceeded with the regular proceedings of the assembly. As the TDP members raised concerns, which led to disturbance in the house, the speaker suspended them from the house.
Earlier, TDP MLAs staged a rally in the Assembly earlier, expressing their discontent with the government's approach towards farmers. They arrived with flexi and placards, raising slogans as a means to voice their protest.
