AP Assembly Sessions: Speaker denies discussion on PPA's, goes ahead with Question Hour
AP winter assembly meetings began early in the morning. On the first day of the House, war of words between the ruling and opposition committees continued. Achennaidu raised the topic of PPAs in the question hour. The MLA reminded the Center's comments on PPA, which said it is a loss to the state with a review of PPAs.
Finance Minister Buggana Rajendranath Reddy answered that there were overnight agreements between the then government and the power companies and that have to be reviewed.
However, the speaker denied the opposition's request of holding the discussion on PPAs in the house and asked them to come in another format. TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu said he would protest and walk out of the house if they had not get the permission on the discussion of PPAs.
The war of words between opposition and ruling is taking a big turn with Babu attacking on minister Anam Ramnarayanam Reddy.
