AP becomes role model to other States: Amzath Basha
Kadapa: Deputy Chief Minister Amzath Basha said that Andhra Pradesh has become a role model to other states in the country by introducing Disha Act. After inaugurating Disha Police station in city on Saturday, the Deputy Chief Minister lauded the state government for taking up the initiative to implement Disha Act.
Joint Collector M Gouthami has said that government is going to establish 18 police stations in the state very soon.
She said it is a welcome decision by Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy in deploying IAS officer Kruthika Sukla, IPS officer Deepika for pursuing Disha cases.
Superintendent of Police KVVN Anburajan said that 11 cases have been registered in the district after introduction of Disha Act and charge sheets were filed in four cases.
The SP detailed that IPC sections 354F, 354G were additionally added in the Disha Act in connection with sexual assault against women and children.
Railway Kodur MLA and government whip K Srinivasulu, Kamalapuram M LA P Ravindranath Reddy, Additional SP Srinivasulu Reddy, Women & Child department Project Director Padmaja, DEO Sailaja and others were present.
