AP Cabinet gives green signal to new sand policy

Amaravati: AP Cabinet meeting headed by Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has begun at 11 am at State Secretariat in Amaravati on Wednesday. In the meeting, few key decisions were taken.

The Cabinet has given the green signal for new sand policy. As per the new system, a ton of sand will be available for Rs 370. For which, the government has already identified stockyards. YS Jagan will be announcing new sand policy on Thursday.

The Cabinet is discussing new Excise policy, Village secretariat, and other issues, which are implemented from October 2.

The Cabinet is also discussing the merger of RTC in the government. The Ministers are also likely to discuss on CM YS Jagan district tour, Rachbanda, Praja Dhabar program.

The Cabinet has approved the reverse tendering of the headworks and hydel projects of the Polvaram project. The meeting has decided to give the project works to the new contractor through the reverse tendering process.

The government has already issued a notification for reverse tendering works. The Cabinet has decided to impose a one-year ban on the Maoists.
