AP cabinet to meet today in Tadepalli, here are the issues likely to be discussed

The Andhra Pradesh cabinet meeting is scheduled to be held today held to discuss several key issues besides the conduct of assembly meetings. It is already knew that the assembly meetings are all set to begin on the 30th of this month and notifications to this effect have also been issued. The government plans to hold assembly sessions till December 4 and it seems that the cabinet will discuss on how many days the meetings shall be held and agenda to be taken up in the house. The issue of election management of local bodies is likely to come up for discussion during the cabinet meeting.

The Cabinet will discuss the dispute between the state election commissioner and the government over the case in the high court and will chalk out a plan on how to proceed on this topic. It is expected that the cabinet will also discuss the cyclone and flood damage. The state is expected to take a decision on the damage caused by the cyclone, floods and immediate relief. The cabinet is likely to discuss the registration of corona cases in the AP and the steps to be taken to curb the virus. Also the ministers will focus on the steps to be taken by the medical health department as there is a possibility of a coronavirus outbreak in winter with the risk of a second wave also coming.

On the other hand, the cabinet is likely to approve the setting up of a 100-foot statue of YS Rajasekhara Reddy near the Polavaram project and discuss on Tirupati Lok Sabha by-election as well. The government's ambitious program of distribution of house site pattas to poor on December 25 would also come for discussion in the cabinet meeting. It is also reported that the chief minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy will seek the suggestions from the ministers over the formation of new districts.
