AP CM YS Jagan launches Tourism Control Rooms across the state for safe boating
The Andhra Pradesh government led by chief minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has set up control rooms for safe boating at the shores across the state. Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy opened the Tourism Control Room at the CM camp office in Tadepalli on Friday. YS Jagan has launched nine control rooms set up along the river front. Ministers Avanthi Srinivasa Rao and Peddi Reddy Ramachandra Reddy were present at the inauguration event. CM YS Jagan addressed the video conference with collectors who are presided at Control Rooms.
Meanwhile, Visakhapatnam collector Vinay Chand PC said that the control room has been set up at Rishikonda beach to monitor the boating of tourists. He said that the Control room includes ticket counter, computerized operations, public address system, wireless, accident prevention and yard swimmers. The operations of each boat going into the sea are controlled by the Control Room.
"From now on, we take special measures through the Control Room to avoid any hazards to tourists; in the Rishikonda Control Room, six officers from different branches have been appointed, " said Collector Vinay Chand.
