The Andhra Pradesh chief minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy who started disbursement of YSR Rythu Bharosa Scheme amount to the farmers on Friday has assured of providing minimum support price to the all aort of crops to the farmers. During the launch of Rythu Bharosa scheme fund release program, CM addressed the farmers through a video conference.

He said that the government was giving Rs 5,500 to each farmer for an investment to prepare for cultivation of kharif crops. "In May we wanted to give Rs 7,500 but due to coronavirus in the state, we have deposited Rs. 2000 in April, " CM said. The CM also said that the third installment of scheme would be implemented for Sankranthi.

On the other hand, CM Jagan urged the bank officials not to find the money deposited in farmers account in the name of old debts. He advised the farmers to dial 1902 if there are any problems from the banks. "The Rythu Bharosa Scheme would also applies to those who cultivate lands in the forest and farmers would benefit greatly with the scheme.

With the YSR Rythu Bharosa-PM Kisan scheme would benefit about 49 lakh farmer families will be benefited ahead of the kharif sowing season. Rythu Bharosa is one of the nine major promises under Navaratnalu made by Jagan Mohan Reddy during his padayatra. Despite facing a financial crunch and emergency situation with the COVID-19 pandemic, keeping up the poll promise, the state government is all set for crediting the first instalment of Rythu Bharosa. During 2019-20, the state government spent Rs 6,534 crore towards Rythu Bharosa-PM Kisan by paying all the three instalments.
