AP DGP Gautam Sawang warns against spreading rumours on Coronavirus

Andhra Pradesh DGP Gautam Sawang advised the people of the state not to believe the rumours spread on social media. He said that police won't tolerate the rumours about Coronavirus in media and social media. He has warned of cases that if the rumours are spread.

The DGP has directed the district police to register cases against those who create rumours and scare the people. So far, no single corona case has been registered in AP. "Every day, the state's medical commissioner, the state's health ministry recalls releasing a special bulletin on Corona," he said.

Meanwhile, DGP Gautam Sawang has directed the SPs and city police commissioners of all districts to arrest all persons involved in sand trafficking. He also advised the authorities to take steps to prevent the smuggling of sand. Siege has revealed 222 vehicles involved in sand smuggling so far.
