AP government imposes additional taxes on alcohol: New prices will come into effect from today
After YS Jagan became chief minister in AP, he has been taking stringent measures to control alcohol in the state. Alcohol prices have been increased to this extent. Off late, the Andhra Pradesh government has imposed additional taxes on liquor and has issued a GO on the same. In addition to the price hike, the government has issued a GO stating how much tax will be imposed on liquor prices depending on the category. These increased prices will come into effect from December 6, 2019.
The tax amount on various brands of liquors are as follows.
The foreign liquor produced in India is Rs. 30 per 60ml and 90ml
Rs. 60 on 180ml of foreign liquor made in India
Rs. 120 on 375 ml of foreign liquor made in India
The foreign liquor produced in India is Rs. 240 per 750ml
Rs. 300 per 1000ml of foreign liquor made in India
Rs. 750 over 2000 ml of Alcohol made in India
Rs.30 per 50 - 60 ml on foreign liquor
Rs.60 per 200 - 275 ml on foreign liquor
Rs. 240 per 700 - 750 ml on foreign liquor 700 - 750 ml
Rs. 750 on foreign liquor 1500/2000 ml
Rs.30 on 330 ml Beer
Rs.30 on 500ml beer
Rs.60 on 650 mL of beer
Rs.3000 on 30,000 ML of Beer
Rs. 6000 on 50,000 ML of Beer
