AP government issues orders on CBI probe into Sugali Preeti case

The government of Andhra Pradesh headed by chief minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, which is going seriously the crimes against the women and children in the state has responded to the murder of Sugali Preethi, who got raped and murdered.

Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, who visited Kurnool on February 18, met family members of Sugali Preethi and learnt about the details of the atrocity on their daughter.

Responding to this, the Chief Minister promised to hand over the case to the CBI and ensure justice. On that assurance, the state secretary, Kumar Vishwajeet issued GO 37 stating the Sugali Preethi case be handed over to CBI on Thursday. Family members believe that the justice bus met.

Sugali Preeti (14), daughter of S. Raju Nayak and S. Parvati Devi, who lives in Lakshmi Garden, a suburb of Kurnool, is a tenth class student at Kattamanchi Ramalingareddy Residential School belonging to a politician. The school was hanged herself to death on August 19, 2017. Parents allege that their daughter was not hanged and was forcibly raped by the school owner.
