AP government likely to conduct examinations for Village secretariat posts in July

The candidates who are awaiting for the secretariat recruitment are here by informed to gear up for the examinations as the government is contemplating to hold the examinations for recruitment soon. As part of this, senior officials of the Panchayati Raj department held a special meeting and discussed about the arrangements to be carried out.

The government has started measures for conducting exams in July last week to fill vacant posts in the village and ward secretariats in Andhra Pradesh. A high-level meeting was held under the aegis of Gopala Krishna Dwivedi and Commissioner Girija Shankar. On the other hand, the Staff Selection Commission examinations are also due in July; hence the officials have decided to announce the dates in keeping in view of other examinations.

In January this year, the Panchayati Raj and Urban Development Departments issued separate notifications for the recruitment of 14,062 Grama Secretariats and 2,146 Ward Secretariats posts. A total of 11.06 lakh candidates have applied for this and the officials are expecting to conduct 14 type of tests in eight days starting from July end.
