AP government permits to procure Jagananna Vidhya Kanuka kits
The state government issued an order on Thursday granting administrative permits for the purchase of educational kits for the students as part of Jagananna Vidhya Kanuka. The total cost for purchasing the kits is Rs. 655.60 crore of which state's share is of 262.24 crores. These kits are delivered through the Comprehensive Training Center Scheme.
The government will distribute special kits containing six items under the scheme for students studying in public schools from the next academic year. These kits are provided for over 42 lakh students studying from 1st to 10th grade. Each kit includes 3 pairs of uniform cloth, notebooks, textbooks, 2 pairs of socks, school bag and belt.
The costs of uniform stitches are deposited in the bank accounts of the mothers who send their wards to schools. The kits will be distributed as soon as the schools reopen after the summer holidays.
