AP government releases coronavirus health bulletin, says not to believe rumours
Dr KS Jawahar Reddy, special secretary to the state medical department gave a call to the public not to believe in the rumours spread on social media about coronavirus. He warned that stern action would be taken if anyone spread false propaganda. The State Department of Health released a bulletin on the Prevention of Coronavirus (COVID-19). As per the bulletin, Corona victim in Nellore district is recovering and said to be discharged after testing the samples after 14 days.
"There are no shortage of masks and sanitizers and we are vigilant in taking measures to curtail the coronavirus, " Jawahar Reddy said. He advised the people not to panic over rumours.
A total of 840 travelers have been identified who fled to the state from Coronavirus affected countries. Doctors said that as many as 560 homes are under medical supervision and 250 have completed 28 days of observation. The bulletin states that as many as 92 samples were tested for virus of which 75 reported negative and 17 reports awaited. Travelers from Corona-affected countries are advised to stay indoors if they recognize any symptoms.
"Corona Testing Lab has been set up at Vijayawada Siddhartha Medical College; We have notified the Infectious Diseases Act-1897 more effectively to combat the virus," he said. Coronavirus suspects should inform the control room by dialing to 0866-2410978 and asked to dial 104 Toll free number for queries.
