AP govt. announces holidays for Sankranti 2021, urges people to celebrate amid covid regulations
Andhra Pradesh: Sankranti is one of the most celebrated festivals in Andhra Pradesh where the people are eagerly awaiting for this festival. The government of Andhra Pradesh headed by chief minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has given good news for students as the big Telugu festival is fast approaching. This time the government has announced six days holidays to the schools and colleges from 12th to 17th of this month.
As there is second Saturday on the 9th and Sunday on 10th, which will increase the holidays for two more days. On the 11th, the education department will be remain working due to the second instalment of cash distribution by Amma Vodi. Meanwhile, the government has suggested that students celebrate the festival following covid rules. it is known that this academic year started almost 6 months late due to coronavirus pandemic.
The Department of Education, which initially started classes for 9th and 10th classes, has been conducting classes for 6th, 7th and 8th class students on alternate days while the online classes being held to 1st to 5th graders. Worksheets related to them are placed in the practice app. Teachers were told to download them and give guidance to the students.
