AP govt. announces supply of sand for free to weaker sections

Andhra Pradesh: YS Jagan Mohan Reddy government has decided to delivery sand for free of charge for those who seek it for their own needs. The government, which has allowed for bullock carts to evacuate sand for free has now issued permission for the tractors as well. However, it has imposed rules and regulations such as seeking permission from the village and ward secretariats to seek sand.

On the other hand, it is noted that the Collector is authorised to issue the permission to transport sand for free for the purpose of housing relief and rehabilitation packages for the weaker sections in the state.

CM Jagan has already ordered that the sand be taken for free of charge by the people of the villages lying across the sea shores in the state. However, they are subjected to the rules and should take prior permission from the Secretary of Panchayat. The government also warned of severe actions of the sand is sold in black market.
