AP govt appoints SIT to investigate on Naidu's bus attack
The government has set up a special investigation team (SIT) on the ruckus during Chandrababu's visit to Amravati. The SIT was formed under the direction of AP DGP Gautam Sawang. The TDP claims that undesirable incidents were due to police negligence. Chandrababu was outraged that the police were negligent in his visit. Against this backdrop, the government has set up SIT to conduct a comprehensive inquiry into the consequences of Chandrababu's visit to Amravati.
Police have already identified two suspects who allegedly threw sandals and stones on the Chandrababu bus. The police have arrested two youths, Bapayya of Mandam village and Sandeep of Uddandarayu's pala on Amaravati.
Cases have also been registered against them at the Thullur police station. Incidents registered in Thullur have also been transferred to the SIT with the government setting up a separate SIT. The SIT team will submit report to the government in a couple of days.
