AP Govt enhances Jerusalem financial assistance to Christian pilgrims

Amaravati: State government enhanced the financial assistance to the Christian Pilgrimage to visit Holy Land of Jerusalem and other Biblical places.

The assistance is enhanced from an amount of Rs.40,000 to Rs.60,000 for the pilgrims whose annual income is upto Rs.3.00 Lakhs and the pilgrims whose annual income is above Rs.3.00 Lakhs, the permissible Financial Assistance is to be enhanced from Rs.20,000 to Rs.30,000.

Mohd Ilyas Rizvi, Principal Secretary, Minority Welfare department has issued a GO MS 74, on Tuesday, with this effect.
